Synopsis

Abdullah, a humble carpet merchant in the city of Zanzib, spends his days daydreaming of a grander destiny. When a mysterious stranger sells him an enchanted flying carpet, his daydreams start coming true — he is whisked away to a night garden and meets Flower-in-the-Night, a sheltered princess convinced he must be the prince of her own dreams.

What follows is a chase across genies, djinn, and a moving castle, drawing in familiar faces from the world of Howl's Moving Castle along the way. Loosely built on the shape of Arabian Nights tales, this sequel follows a new cast while widening the map of Ingary and its neighboring lands.

A lighter, more comic companion to the first book, told from a hapless but good-hearted hero's point of view.
