I loved this one. I loved the type of narration with the story and how I could not see where it was really going. Of course, it was revealed (early on) that something had happened at prom night, but I couldn't tell what until it happened.
I loved Carrie's story, how well-written it was, and how well King had described her. Carrie and her emotions felt totally real, nothing was out of place or anything. She was a character I could relate to, feel sorry for, and love.
This must be one of my favorite King books ever.

this book is awesome, i could clearly imagine everything going on and the ending was very unexpected in a way.

"And call ye on the name of your gods, and I will call on the name of the Lord : and the God that answereth by fire, let him be God.
And all the people answered and said, It is well spoken.

Loved it!
It's staggering how swiftly King improved between this & the Salem's Lot.
Some characters at times felt like caricatures of themselves, but the payoff was executed so immaculately that it compensated for these shortcomings, leaving me with few complaints.
