Synopsis

Carnal Urges is the second novel in J.T. Geissinger's Queens & Monsters series, published on 30 June 2021. It is a dark contemporary mafia romance, and it follows Sloane, who is abducted by Declan — a man with blue eyes, an Irish accent and a deep hatred for her, convinced she started the war between his organisation and its enemies.

Sloane maintains her innocence, and captivity does not make her meek. What Declan expects to be an interrogation becomes a running battle of nerve and wit, and the loathing between them curdles into an attraction that neither of them can afford. Geissinger builds the book on the collision between revenge and desire, with two combatants who are each more vulnerable than the front they present.

The novel is explicit, and the author's own note warns readers that it contains adult content and is not for the easily offended. It reads as a standalone romance within the series, which continues the story of the Irish and Russian crime families introduced in the first book.
