Synopsis

After a devastating breakup with the man she thought she would marry, Annie Crane moves to a charming small town in upstate New York to start over. Lonely and unsure of herself, she is quickly taken under the wing of Sophie — a stylish, magnetic, impossibly self-assured woman who lives alone in a beautiful old house and seems to know exactly how to live.

Sophie is generous, funny, and utterly devoted to Annie's happiness. She is also, unmistakably, a witch. As Annie is drawn deeper into Sophie's world and its intoxicating promise of power and belonging, she has to decide how much of herself she is willing to give up to be loved that completely.

Rachel Harrison's Cackle is a wickedly funny, subtly creepy fable about self-worth, female friendship, and learning to conjure your own confidence.
