Although I have read quite a few of Sue Grafton's books with Kinsey Millhone (albeit not in alphabetical order), it had been a while since I read any of them. Nevertheless, I found this book really entertaining and Kinsey full of wit. Grafton has nailed the atmosphere of what a neo-hardboiled setting in the '80s with a female heroine should be and after that she delivers in every book of the series.
