Synopsis

Broken Silence is the second book in Natasha Preston's Silence series, picking up four years after Oakley and her family fled to Australia following the abuse she suffered as a child. With the long-awaited criminal trial against her father and his friend finally approaching, Oakley decides to return to England, determined to find closure and put the past behind her.

Testifying means facing the two people who hurt her most and speaking a truth she has carried in silence for years. It also means coming face to face with Cole, the boy she loved and left behind, whose feelings for her—like hers for him—never really faded.

A fast-paced, emotionally raw contemporary drama, the novel follows Oakley's parallel struggles: fighting for justice in the courtroom and finding her way back to a love she once believed she had lost.
