Synopsis

Brian's Return is the fourth book in Gary Paulsen's Hatchet series, following Brian Robeson after his harrowing ordeal alone in the Canadian wilderness. No longer a boy lost in the woods, Brian must now navigate an entirely different kind of survival: reintegrating into modern society and finding where he truly belongs among people who cannot understand what he has endured. When his therapist suggests one last trip back to the wild, Brian's journey becomes about reconciling two worlds that can no longer coexist easily within him.
