Synopsis

Boys South of the Mason Dixon introduces Abbi Glines's Sutton family — five brothers in small-town Alabama who fight, party, and drink more than they should, but who are fiercely devoted to their mother and to each other. That loyalty is tested when Dixie, the girl next door the brothers have watched grow up, becomes someone more than one of them wants.

The novel centers on Dixie and Asher Sutton, whose connection began when Dixie was still a teenager, and follows the tangle of jealousy, old history, and small-town gossip that complicates a relationship the wider Sutton family circle can see coming before the characters can.

As the first book in the series, it establishes the Sutton brothers as recurring figures for the sequels, with a contemporary Southern-set romance plot centered on a slow-burn, long-history central couple.
