This was a decent read, though it falls a bit flat. While Martin is undeniably a comedy icon and national treasure, the book feels somewhat clinical and lacking in depth. It recounts many of the stories and events fans may already be familiar with, but there’s little exploration of the man behind the stage persona. Given Martin’s notoriously private nature, this makes sense, but it leaves the reader wanting more personal insight. That said, it’s still an enjoyable journey through his career, just don’t expect too many revelations.
