Blue Exorcist Vol. 5

In the late Edo Period, a demon called the Impure King killed thousands before the Knights of the True Cross defeated it and sealed away its left eye on Academy grounds. In this volume, that eye is stolen, and when the thief takes a child hostage, Rin and his brother Yukio join the investigation. The pursuit leads them to Kyoto and pulls them further into a larger, more dangerous plot.

Alongside the case, Rin continues to deal with his classmates' reaction to learning he is the son of Satan, and how that revelation is straining his friendships even as the group works together.
