So, it took me CRIMINALLY too long to finish this book. And not by any means was it the book or the authors fault. It's because I as a person failed 🤦♀️. I had so much going on, where I just wasn't able to read. AND I'M SO UPSET WITH MYSELF FOR THAT.
Blood Bound was amazing. I could not keep up with all the twists and turns, and surprises. It is a refreshing take (for me). I don't typically read books with Witches, but honestly that didn't even register much. I was so engrossed in the story that I couldn't care.
I LOVE LOVE LOVE that the story follows two FMCs. That is probably one of my favorite things that books do. Especially when those two characters are vastly different. It is so much more enjoyable than having two characters who are so similar that it's hard to tell the difference.
The author does a fantastic job at making sure that you feel like you know everything. You think you know the outcome, but you don't. You think you know the truth, but you don't. There's little hints here and there that mislead you. It's so wonderfully complex and immersive. I highly recommend this book to anyone who is missing the Fourth Wing / ACOTAR type stories. It's not the same, but I love it just the same. This book made me cry about halfway through the book. Completely unfair. Breaking my heart like that.
