Blonde Dies First

Devon is used to being left behind by her genius twin sister Drew, who's leaving for college a whole year early — so Devon plans one last Best Summer Ever before she goes. A Ouija board session taken a little too seriously turns out to have consequences: the group finds itself hunted by something that moves like a demon but kills in a distinctly human, distinctly cinematic order. Devon, the blonde, goes first. Her decade-long crush Yaya is left as the final girl, forced to kill or be killed to break the cycle.

A trope-aware YA slasher that pairs genuine scares with sharp commentary on class, race, and who gets to survive the movie.
