An absolute masterclass in storytelling and comic art. Though I would’ve preferred it to have more dialogue, I get the fact that Tsutomu Nihei wants to shock us with the visuals and wants that to be the driving force of the narrative, and he very much succeeds. BLAME! is perhaps one of the most disturbing dystopian stories I have read, driven solely by the impeccable graphical quality of the scenes, and the most unsettling scenes of a distant future where humanity is no longer in control of anything.
