Black Water Sister

Jessamyn Teoh, a young woman grappling with being closeted, broke, and jobless, moves back to Malaysia with her parents, only to start hearing a voice in her head. This voice belongs to her estranged grandmother's ghost, a former spirit medium for the mysterious Black Water Sister deity. Jess is unwillingly drawn into a world of gods, ghosts, and family secrets as her grandmother seeks retribution against a business magnate, using Jess as her unwilling accomplice. Jess must navigate dangerous spiritual dealings and her grandmother's meddling to reclaim control of her body and destiny.
