Writing style : miss ma’am is an attorney, so the language is professional, clear and so precise, it feels like stepping into some legal story, it is written so well, every detail is meticulously written, mentioned where necessary, i’m in love with the writing and the setting and the story even make it more interesting to read!
MMC : Mr Alexander “yearning pathetically” Hartley — he’s annoying but i’d give him ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
FMC : Ms. Emma clarke Isabelle Mitchell — ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
side characters : Fiona is suspicious, I do not trust her yet. Sophia, maria, liam everyone else is so warm, and the writing truly expresses their feelings really well.
Story setting : small town called Pinhaven.
Summary : belle disappeared and made a new name, new identity, ran away from alex for ten years, he found her and he does not plan to let her go without paying for what he thinks she did. (The mystery is not revealed and I am here for it for the very first time because I am INVESTED). 💅🏼
Pacing : slow burn that actually you feel in your chest.

What i loved : the entire f•••••• book. From the start, i knew this book which unexpectedly landed in my reader is gonna make me want to read it till the end. And i did. I can’t write enough of the author’s writing, miss ma’am’s english and professionalism bleeds well in her writing and it shows. I’m envious, miss ma’am. Alex is not complicated, he’s angry, jealous and hurt. Isabelle is still so much in love but equally hurt, and protects her loved ones fiercely even if she has to sacrifice everything. Both of them have their own share of hurt. Alex is just a bit blind to many variables, man thinks he is taking revenge but is furious when someone attacks his girl and fires everyone who was supposed to keep a watch on her. (All men do is lie is true here). I loved reading everything, from the stalking to the point where he has her exactly where he wants her. Alex has a long way to go and i’m SAT. Man’s groveling is gonna be my most favorite part. I can’t wait to be part of this series. I’m gonna follow this series expeditiously the moment the books drop.
