Beyond the Veil

Darius Acrux was a Savage King, killed before his story with Tory Vega was finished. Now he watches her from beyond the Veil, the divide that closed behind everyone who died at the end of book eight.

He is not alone on that side of it. Azriel Orion watches the son he never got to know as a free man. Tory's own parents, Hail and Merissa Vega, watch a daughter they cannot reach, and Felisia carries a love for Ren she never spoke while she still could.

Each of them can see exactly what the living need. None of them can act on it, not without finding some crack in the Veil, and not without learning what crossing it back would cost.

Beyond the Veil is the eighth and a half book in Zodiac Academy, the paranormal romance series by Caroline Peckham and Susanne Valenti. It sits between books eight and nine, answering from the far side of death what the living are still left to work out on their own.
