Synopsis

Beyond Scandal and Desire opens Lorraine Heath's Sins for All Seasons series with Mick Trewlove, a self-made businessman born the illegitimate son of a duke and given away at birth. Still shut out by the father who refuses to claim him, Mick sets out to destroy his legitimate half-brother by seducing the young man's betrothed, Lady Aslyn Hastings — an orphaned, sheltered woman longing for a life beyond her narrow world. As Mick and Aslyn grow closer, his scheme for vengeance collides with feelings neither expected, and long-buried family secrets threaten to expose them both. Set against Victorian London's rigid social order, it is a story of scandal, legitimacy, and the cost of revenge.
