Synopsis

Greer Hennessy is a movie location scout, and picture-perfect is the name of the game. Her last project literally went up in flames and her career is close to flaming out, so she has been given one more chance: find the ideal undiscovered beach hideaway for a big-budget film.

She settles on Cypress Key, a sleepy town on the Florida panhandle with one motel, a marina, a long stretch of pristine beach and an old fishing pier with a community casino that would suit the movie's explosive climax perfectly. The problem is Eben Thibadeaux, the town's mayor, who objects to the whole plan.

Mary Kay Andrews mixes small-town Southern comedy with a slow-building romance between two people with very different ideas of what Cypress Key should become.
