Bad Hair Days
Bad Hair Days follows Mallow, a girl with alopecia who wears a wig to hide her hair loss after being bullied out of her previous school. Just as she's settling into a fresh start, she begins receiving unsettling messages that make it clear someone has found out her secret — and intends to use it against her.
Written for readers aged 10-14, J.M. Forster's novel pairs a genuine mystery with a sensitive look at bullying, friendship, and the fear of being singled out for being different. It's a story about family and belonging as much as it is about tracking down a tormentor.
