Synopsis

A collection of short stories told in distinct, unsettling voices, each following a woman grappling with a different crisis: a woman's affair with a man she calls "Baboon," a woman's descent into madness after a miscarriage, and a woman's struggle with her husband's infidelity. Naja Marie Aidt's prose is precise and darkly comic, and the stories are told from unreliable or unreliable-adjacent narrators, making the collection a work of literary fiction rather than genre fiction.
