Aurora's End
H
The culmination of the story arc of the girl out of time loses a lot of the pacing and high stakes adventure of the previous two books, and the <spoiler>time travel</spoiler> aspect of the story requires a lot of rudimentary setup, as does the <spoiler>time loop</spoiler> that some of the characters find themselves stuck in.
When Aurora is set up from the very first book to have to <spoiler>sacrifice everything</spoiler> in order to succeed, it feels very odd to follow her arc of turning her back on that and doing things her own way.
The most fulfilling part of the book was to follow Zila's growth from start to finish, and while the premise of the overall story was interesting it fell a bit flat in the end with its forced <spoiler>happy ending</spoiler>.
