Martin Cahill is a British author and journalist best known for his 2004 thriller Audition for the Fox, which was shortlisted for the Gold Dagger Award. He also wrote the 2011 thriller The Swimmer and the 2018 thriller The Stranger's Game.

Synopsis
Audition for the Fox is Martin Cahill's debut novel, a fantasy adventure about Nesi, a young woman with godly blood who has spent her life failing to win the patronage of one of the Ninety-Nine Pillars of Heaven — a requirement for leaving her temple home.
