Frequently asked questions

  • How does this version of the Arthurian legend differ from traditional retellings?

Thomas Berger utilizes a distinctively anachronistic and colloquial prose style that intentionally clashes with the medieval setting to highlight the absurdity of chivalric ideals. This approach prioritizes satirical commentary on human nature over a straightforward heroic narrative.
