Synopsis

Once the golden girl of Greenwich and Manhattan, Anna K has been brought low by scandal and heartbreak. Reeling from a very public fall from grace and the loss of her first love, she is taken by her father to the other side of the world — to Seoul, to reconnect with his Korean family and to disappear for a while from the life that shattered around her.

Over the course of a single summer, Anna tries to rebuild herself far from the eyes that judged her. As she navigates her father's homeland, a new circle of relatives, and the slow, uneven work of grief, the friends and siblings she left behind chase their own second chances back home.

Jenny Lee's Anna K Away is the tender, bittersweet sequel to Anna K, trading the glittering social whirl of the first book for a quieter story of mourning, family, and recovery — a coming-of-age about who you become after the person you thought you were is gone.
