I don't know why I've put off reading Agatha Christie for so long. Especially since a year doesn't go by that someone on my little island mentions that she stayed here for a while with her daughter Rosalind (after her infamous divorce) and always had nice words to say about our beautiful city. During her stay, she frequented our British Club. Las Palmas de Gran Canaria even inspired a couple of her novels, and we don't lose a chance to bring it into conversion since our island rarely gets mentioned outside of Spanish soil.
Going into the novel, I kept a list of all ten characters and made annotations of clues and suspicions, but pretty soon, I put it aside and immersed myself in the mystery. Everything happens pretty quickly, and by the end of the novel, I had suspected of everyone and come up with all kinds of probable twists. Still, I didn't know who the murderer was until I read the 'confession' at the end.
