Ana María and the Fox
When French forces occupy Mexico, Ana María and her two sisters are sent to London for safety, and for the first time in her life, she's out from under her domineering father's watchful eye. Her father has already arranged her marriage to a man back home, but her uncle, a diplomat with his own agenda, wants the sisters visible in London society instead, hoping their presence will win sympathy for Mexico's cause.
There, Ana María keeps catching the eye of the austere Gideon Fox, a self-made member of Parliament fighting to abolish the Atlantic slave trade in honor of his grandmother. As the two are pushed together by circumstance, they have to decide whether the connection between them is worth risking everything they've built.
