All the Dark Places

All the Dark Places
Synopsis
Molly Bradley throws her husband Jay a fortieth birthday dinner on a bitter January night in a wealthy Boston suburb: a handful of close friends, good wine, nothing out of the ordinary. In the morning she finds him on the floor of his home office with his throat slashed.
Detective Rita Myers does not believe a stranger walked into that house. The guest list is short — Molly's best friend and her husband, Jay's practice partner and hers, a hockey friend and his wife — and every one of them has a reason to be looked at twice. As Rita works the circle, Molly begins to realise how little she knew about her husband's private life, and how much of her own buried past someone else may already know.
Terri Parlato's debut is a close, cold suspense novel about an insular group of affluent friends and the things they have agreed not to say aloud, told through the detective picking them apart and the widow discovering she is not safe.
