Ahmed Mourad (born February 14, 1978, in Cairo) is an Egyptian novelist and screenwriter. He studied cinematography at Cairo's Higher Institute of Cinema, graduating in 2001, and spent nearly a decade as one of President Hosni Mubarak's personal photographers before his first novel, Vertigo, was published in 2007.
