Frequently asked questions

  • Does this book require prior knowledge of the Elfquest series?

This collection functions as the fourth volume in the Blood of Ten Chiefs series, which explores the history of the Wolfrider chieftains who lived long before the protagonist Cutter. While it is part of a larger shared universe, each story is a self-contained narrative that can be enjoyed without having read the preceding volumes.

  • How does this anthology differ from the main Elfquest comic series?

Unlike the primary comic series created by Wendy and Richard Pini, this book is a prose anthology featuring contributions from various fantasy authors who were invited to expand upon the established lore and history of the world. It serves as a collaborative expansion of the setting rather than a direct continuation of the main comic storyline.
