Synopsis

Bunny and Nasir have been best friends their whole lives, bonded by basketball and their neighborhood. When Bunny transfers to St. Sebastian's, a private school with a powerhouse basketball program, in pursuit of a shot at college recruitment, Nasir feels abandoned — and so does Wallace, Nasir's cousin, whose spiral toward addiction and debt puts him in real danger. Nasir believes Bunny owes him help; Bunny is trying to build a future he doesn't want to jeopardize. Told through Bunny's and Nasir's alternating narration, After the Shot Drops examines loyalty, class, and the cost of ambition when the people you love need something you're not sure you can give.
