Gosh, I love Takahashi and Mari let 'em go for a date later in 6 months or 8 months I don't care, just let Takahashi wait for her. And do write that freaking long letter to her, please!
There's something about both of them that I REALLY love a lot-- the conversation, the awkward chemistry, how Takahashi tells his story and how Mari listens to every bits of his story. When they both walking together and talking to each other, comforting each other, and I go -there you go Takahashi!- when he decided to call it a night for his music practice and go to Mari.
I like Kaoru. I love Korogi. I actually like Alphaville. The talk between Korogi and and Mari-- how life can be that hard to certain people, but at the same time the feeling is similar to each other. Mari has her own reason to stay up all night. Korogi has her reason for running away. Takahashi and his story since six years old, Eri and her beautiful deep sleep, and Kaoru too. So beautifully related, kind of heartwarming.
That narrator in form of camera device, even Shirakawa's story-- it was fascinating, thrill and suspense. And i thought something would happen to Shirakawa but yeahh...
I love the ending though. How Mari want to go home to her sister. Sweet! (though sometimes I have this feeling that it probably just Eri in her dreamland but whatever). And I think that suspicious phone calls already summarized everything-- "You probably think you got away with it. But you can't get away. You can run, but you'll never be able to get away."
