Synopsis

Addicted for Now continues Krista and Becca Ritchie's Addicted series, picking up Lily Calloway and Loren "Lo" Hale's story after the secret marriage that began as a shield against their families' expectations. As their relationship grows more genuine, the pressure of maintaining the lie — and of managing their respective addictions in private — becomes harder to sustain.

Lily's compulsive relationship with sex and Lo's dependence on alcohol are treated as real, ongoing struggles rather than romantic obstacles to be resolved by love alone. The novel continues the series' ensemble approach, weaving in Lily's sisters Rose and Daisy and their own relationships with Connor Cobalt and Ryke Meadows, against a backdrop of wealth, tabloid attention, and family pressure.

As with the rest of the series, the book is explicit and emotionally intense, aimed at readers who want addiction and recovery treated with weight rather than as a shortcut to angst.
