Abbas Mahmoud al-Aqqad was a leading Egyptian writer and thinker who wrote extensively on history, religion, and philosophy. He is most famous for his Genius series, which includes studies of Muhammad, Imam Ali, and Othman bin Affan. He also wrote the novel Sara, a key work in modern Arabic literature.
