Synopsis

A naive Texan drifter arrives in Depression-era New Orleans and is drawn into the city's underworld of gambling, prostitution, and back-alley violence. As he is exploited by the fixers and gamblers who run the streets, Dove Linkhorn's innocence is stripped away in a darkly comic and tragic tale of a man becoming hardened by the very world that preyed on him.
