A Town of Empty Rooms
Serena and Dan Shine, reeling from the loss of Serena's father and Dan's brother, find their lives uprooted when Serena's actions lead to their banishment from New York City. They relocate to Waring, North Carolina, a small Bible Belt town where Dan finds employment.
