Synopsis

A Story of Yesterday is a compact novella that follows four characters whose lives intersect through a chain of decisions made under pressure. Told across shifting first- and third-person perspectives, the book moves quickly between voices, withholding the full picture of how the characters connect until late in the story.

Its central concerns are the weight of individual choices and how far their consequences can travel — through revenge, loss, and the search for some form of redemption. At under a hundred pages, the novel favors compression and momentum over extended scene-setting, aiming for an emotionally dense read in a short span.

Sergio Cobo's prose style leans spare and direct, with the multi-voice structure doing much of the narrative work.
