2025 reread - still top tier!!

This was my first dive into a Monster Romance and I am certainly intrigued.

I really liked how the characters interacted with eachother and how they both learned from them. The world building was fantastic, and gradually introduced new snippits of information. The book kept me so gripped that I could barely put it down.

I adore Orpheus and Reia's romance ~ Their characters, vibes, quirks (yes the eating people) was so gripping to read about, I constantly wanted more.

Overall, a really great read and I really recommend to anyone a fan of Dark Fantasy

I don't know what my 2019 self would say if she knew the things we read now.

I liked it a lot. I was skeptical at first by Orpheus' appearance but he’s a cinnamon roll (that eats people every once in a while but who cares).

I loved the world, the story, Orpheus and Reia’s sweet interactions. The only two things I didn’t like was that it was a bit too long, and that I could not see the villain as an evil person no matter how hard Reia tried to antagonize her

(Sure, she took her revenge way too far, was selfish and didn’t see Orpheus past his exterior but it doesn’t take away the fact that she was scared of his reaction and didn’t want to be there with him in the first place).
