A Polar Expedition and Other Stimulating Research Opportunities

Sirin has been kicked out of her research guild and warned that her solo trek across the Arctic in search of a rare magical source will likely get her killed. She goes anyway. What she doesn't count on is Berne, a polar bear shifter charged with protecting a thousand-year-old secret, who starts out stalking her through the taiga and ends up far more invested in keeping her alive, and close, than his duty allows. The first standalone novella in the Shades of Sanctuary series, this is a cozy, high-heat paranormal romance built around a slow-burn strangers-to-mates dynamic and monstrous mates tropes.
