5/5 (9/10)
This book is darker than the first one, which I liked. I expected some death, due to the story itself and the era, but not like that (not a bad thing, since it surprised me). Could perfectly be an horror story.
I loved how the crew relationship grows and how the characters interact with themselves, bonding and opening more, knowing their past and feelings more. I also like how unlikable Hunlaf, the main character, is at the beginning. Is part of his growth: the events of the first book bust his ego, thinking he's better than the rest now that he's a trained warrior with some real experience. But his arrogance and his (supposed) superiority causes fatal consequences that hit his face hard, so he learns and become a better man.
There are some small details I didn't enjoy, but aren't important enough to make me dislike nor not enjoy the book.
