Synopsis

Marcus Heywood, the new Duke of Torringford, faces a daunting task: marry within three weeks or forfeit his inherited estate. A jesting advertisement for a wife accidentally gets published, leading to an unexpected turn of events. Meanwhile, Penelope Hastings, resigned to spinsterhood, finds her name attached to the Duke's advertisement without her knowledge. Now, to save her honor, she must marry him, leading to a marriage of convenience that quickly challenges her expectations as his charm begins to win her over.
