Synopsis

Lady Violet Hughes has built a secret life around her genius: she runs a clandestine society for England's most brilliant female scientists and carries out a confidential mission for the Crown. What she hasn't told anyone is how she feels about Arthur Kneland, the reserved protection officer assigned to guard her.

Arthur has spent his life putting duty first, but the more time he spends around Violet and her eccentric club, the harder that becomes. When a hidden threat infiltrates Violet's laboratory and endangers her life and her work, the two have to rely on each other to survive, and discover that the most dangerous experiment of all is falling in love.
