This second installment dragged almost all the way through, barely anything happened, but at least we got some answers and character development. That ending, though, made it worth all the previous sludge I had to wade through. Now I can't wait for the next book in the series. Here is to hoping Poppy comes into herself and her power. I'm also crossing fingers, toes, and eyelashes, hoping that the Joining actually happens! If we don't get a threesome (and I dare hope for an actual throuple) after all this foreshadowing, I'm going to throw the book at the wall.
