A long long account of a certain-blink-an-you-miss Mr. Mohun Biswas. The book spans across his entire tragic life - a never ending quest to be recognized and respected.
Sometimes , it is a tad bit depressing to read about him whining all the time. About his life, his wife , his kids , his parents , his landlord , his in-laws , his job , everything.
After reading this book , you would definitely know how you don't want your life to be.
In spite of all the morose surroundings, boredom and lack of story, dialogue and plot, you will end up liking the prose in certain sections.
And you will end up feeling bad for Mr. Biswas too. The poor bloke never gets what he wants and has to made do with whatever is dumped on him.
Because this is a long book , there is no feeling of satisfaction on completion. I wouldn't recommend this to folks.
