Synopsis

Lady Olympia Hightower has survived seven London Seasons as her family's sensible one — bookish, bespectacled, and the last woman anyone expected to bolt from her own wedding. But days before she is due to marry the devastatingly handsome, hopelessly unreliable Duke of Ashmont, she climbs out a window and runs. Ashmont's friend Hugh Philemon Ancaster, Duke of Ripley, goes after her meaning to do the honorable thing and bring her back — but the chase turns into a cross-country escapade neither of them expected, and an attraction neither of them can outrun.
