Synopsis

Under a kilometer of ice on the planet Ilmatar, human scientists study a blind alien race. An uneasy truce with the Sholen, humanity's first extraterrestrial contact, shatters when a reckless adventurer is injured by the Ilmatarans, sparking a diplomatic crisis that threatens war.
