Frost and Starlight felt like a step back in the series. While I can appreciate a low-stakes story, this one seemed out of place, almost like an after-school Christmas special within the larger context of the series. Although it did set up a couple of interesting threads for the next book, it just wasn’t enough to keep me fully engaged.

Very slow. List interest.

The further I get into this series the more I’m actually not liking it. It just was a pointless book to read. Granted when I saw how small it was I kinda figured as much and I could have stopped there but once I start a series I have to see my way through it.
