Synopsis

Clare Cosi has taken the Village Blend on the road, putting a vintage coffee truck on the streets of New York as part of a citywide promotion. The tour draws crowds, sponsors, and trouble: a young woman is struck down in what looks like a hit-and-run, and Clare cannot make the accident explanation fit.

What begins as a traffic case pulls her into the murkier corners of the city's coffee trade and the people who profit from it, while she juggles the truck, her ex-husband Matteo, her former mother-in-law Madame, and her relationship with NYPD detective Mike Quinn.

Cleo Coyle's eleventh Coffeehouse Mystery is a culinary cozy in the series' usual mould, closing with recipes and coffee lore.
