A Breath of French Air
Synopsis
The Larkin family, a boisterous and affectionate clan from the Kent countryside, set out on their first ever trip abroad in their beloved Rolls-Royce. Their destination: France. What begins as a comical fish-out-of-water adventure as they navigate unfamiliar customs, a foreign language, and the local culture becomes a charming comedy of manners and a gentle romance. H.E. Bates's warm, comic prose turns their initial culture shock into a delightful tale of family, love, and the unexpected pleasures of a French summer.
