Dandadan
🌟Volume 1-5 Review
I watched 3 episodes but then started from the top. The improvement in the art after the first arc is remarkable. The anime gives the impression that the bizarreness, with its thick outlines and hints of crude humor reminiscent of Chainsaw Man, was intentional. However, it truly comes into its own after the initial few chapters.
The sudden shift makes it seem as though the early chapters were written long before the serialization was approved.
I felt a strong sense of nostalgia, and it hit me during the Acro Silky plotline: this is essentially Bleach's Agent of the Shinigami arc. The influence is unmistakable.
Seiko has quickly become my second favorite "Granny" in shonen. Woman's practically dripping with aura 🥵
5 volumes in and I am waiting for the winds to change. Every good shonen has a moment when the story breaks the proverbial glass ceiling, refusing to be confined by the boundaries of its initial premise, and evolves in a way that remains rooted in, yet surpasses, the original concept.
Byakuya and Renji's arrival, Sasuke Retrieval Arc, Water 7, Shogun Assassination, or Clash of the Titans. Hope something shifts soon.
I'm a traditional shonen-tard, with no shame in admitting it. I sometimes struggle with modern storytelling trends.
Friendship, Effort, and Victory are core for me. While I understand that too much righteousness can feel dated, some elements remain timeless: power system exploration and tactical battles.
Okarun isn’t physically gifted, but I thought he was intelligent. So why aren’t we seeing his fights through that lens? I strongly believe that incorporating his strategic mind could elevate the already top tier action in this manga.
Rating so far : 3.7/5 🌟
