Synopsis

In 1635, the discovery of a 20th-century American town in the middle of 17th-century Europe has already upended the world's balance of power. When a radical Huguenot extremist named Michel Ducos plots to assassinate Grantville's mayor and its rabbi under the guise of anti-vaccination and anti-autopsy demonstrations, the ensuing political fallout forces the leaders of the new United States of Europe to confront the radicalism and antisemitism festering in the wake of their own technological upheaval. Mike Stearns, the newly elected Prime Minister, and his allies must navigate a conspiracy that threatens to expose the fragility of the new world order.
